Services
In- Person & Online
Welcome to Christ City Ministries! We are excited to have you join us for both our in-person and online experiences. You can meet with us in person at Winchester Street Public School in Woodstock or online via YouTube at Christ City Ministries. Whether you're joining us physically or virtually, we're thrilled to journey together in faith and fellowship!
Baptism
Baptism is a symbol of Christ's burial and resurrection. Our entrance into the water during baptism identifies us with Christ's death on the cross, His burial in the tomb and His resurrection from the dead. A brand-new life: It is a symbol of your new life as a Christian. Baptisms are done as a part of service and will be announced. (Hebrews 6:1-2)
Holy Communion
Communion is not an obligation, but a celebration. Communion celebrates the Gospel: Jesus was broken for us so that we can be fixed by Him. Partaking reenacts the covenant Christ gave himself to establish for man. He gave Himself completely to give us a better life, a new start, and a fresh relationship with God (1 Peter 3:18). This is a regular part of our services.
Worship
Worship is about giving glory to God, which transforms us into the people of God, who together form the living temple of God. Worship is something we do, but it also does something to us – and it is all for God's purposes.
Discipleship
The discipleship process is more than teaching people the right knowledge about God. A disciple models him or herself after someone. Making disciples of Jesus goes beyond teaching facts about Jesus. It means teaching people how to know and be like Jesus — to obey God and seek His best for their lives. The Discipleship classes are conducted per quarter.
Connections
The church has its origin in the eternal purposes of God. It is the new covenant community of Jesus, rooted in Israel, constructed by Jesus, and inaugurated by the Holy Spirit. The church is the people of God, chosen by the Father, and graciously brought into a relationship with the triune God and one another. This is why we connect and why we stay connected.
Healing
We believe Jesus came to heal the whole person, body and soul. And through the ministry of the believer, it is Jesus who touches the sick to heal them from sin – and sometimes even from physical ailment. Healing is still part of the ministry of Christ and ministering Healing and prayer is a part of us till today. (Psalm 107:20)
